About SpamDrain

The summer of 2003 was the hottest ever recorded in Europe. Even in the far north of Sweden, which is usually near freezing, everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather. Well, almost everyone.  Henric and Niklas, two young programmers, were toiling away in their newly started IT-company. They were working hard, having fun and were off to a good start with many commissions coming in. They worked overtime the whole summer to provide the best service for their new customers.

They were on a roll and everything was going great, except for all of that horrible spam that was clogging up their inboxes. They waste precious time everyday cleaning their inboxes, updating filters and protecting their servers from viscous attacks. One hot afternoon it became too much! They were fed up with wasting time, money and energy.

“That’s it! I’ve had enough! It’s time to do something about this. There must be a way to stop the spam before it gets to us.”

SpamDrain was born that summer – an efficient, affordable and easy-to-use anti-spam service. It was born out of the need to fight spam and bring an end to the frustration.  Henric and Niklas are still very passionate about this issue. Together with their new team, they work hard to improve SpamDrain to conquer the spammers and eventually rid the world of spam.
